Almost everyone loves to attend live events like sports, concerts, wrestling matches, musicals and other live events. It has never been so hard to buy tickets and it has never been as expensive to buy from Ticketmaster and online scalpers. Some of the reasons it is so hard to buy tickets is what known as holdbacks. Holdbacks are tickets pulled off of Ticketmaster before the onsale date especially for Amex card holders, industry big wigs, promoters, season ticket holders radio stations, fan clubs, VIP packages,the venue and others. Those tickets are not available to the public via Ticketmaster. In some cases over half of the best seats to a show are already taken. In extreme cases only 20% of the tickets are available to the general public. So if you really want tickets you need to play the game and avoid scalpers. Ways to even out the playing field include obtaining an Amex card either regular, gold or platinum, join your favorite artists’ fanclubs and search Google for presales passcodes. Using Google or other search engines, you can find many free sites that collect and compile passwords to many different events. I have found that using Amex is one of the best methods to obtain the best seats to a concert. The Amex presales almost always have much better seats than the other methods including the public onsales.

Pop idol Miley Cyrus, better known as Disney’s Hannah Montana, will embark on a huge concert tour in the United States and UK in 2009. Miley promises everything will be much better on this tour, the songs, the outfits and the dancers. Tickets for Miley’s second ever concert tour will go on sale via Ticketmaster on Saturday, June 13th. Miley plans to use Ticketmaster’s new Paperless Ticket technology and all the tickets to every Miley show will be a ticketless ticket. Tickets must be picked the night of the Miley’s concert and the purchaser of the tickets must show the exact credit card used to buy the tickets plus a government-issued photo id. Miley Cyrus fan club members will be able to buy tickets beginning Monday, June 8th. Miley’s last full-scale production, the Hannah Montana The Best of Both Worlds concert tour was sold out across the US in record time.
